2015 has been the biggest year for Indian Hip-Hop scene. So many amazing artists coming up, Hip-Hop on national TV and what not. And what a way it is to start the new year. We start 2016 with this brand new music video by Dhaval Parab, better known as D’Evil. Accompanying him on the track is India’s leading Female Hip-Hop artist Dee MC.
The track is called “Learn”, And it is all about the struggles that almost each and every artist goes through. Video has been Shot by Kedar Amburle, and it is nothing less than a piece of ART.
For the 3rd consecutive year, Dee MC has dropped a track on October 30th, her first two tracks being “Talk My Way” (2013) prod. by Kru172 and Greenhouse Effect(2014) Prod. by Afzal Minhaaj
The track is called “Calling You Out”, and has been produced by The N. It is a soulful feel good track talking about the mind state of a person who is heartbroken. But unlike being just about a heartbreak, the track sees the person talking to their inner self about how they have changed because of whatever happened in the past. So in the end, the person urges his inner self to let go the past, cause he/she is being Called Out.

Mumbai based Emcee Poetik Justis has started a new movement in Indian underground Hip-Hop Scene. He has called the project #CipherChallenge.
He posted a video to his facebook page a few days ago. The video has Poetik dropping a verse to a beat produced by HHB, and nominating another Emcee, who has to then, respond within a week. And the series shall continue like this.
We spoke to Poetik about how he came up with the idea, and what was his motive behind it. Here’s what he told DRS:
“It all started when I felt like the HipHop scene per the course of the past few months has been slowly receding in terms of quality lyrics and basically I just wanted to bring that back a bit and so I came up with this series. Been wanting to do something like this for a long time and it feels good that I did.
I haven’t come up with this concept this is an already existing concept and I just wanted to try it out over here and you know the rest. I just feel that all the emcees on the challenge should bring their a-game on it and I see that happening because until now nobody’s failed to deliver or disappoint. Hoping to see a whole chunk of dope emcees from outta every corner of India hop on this”

D’Evil, one half of the crew Munky Rhymz just released his brand new video “Antisocial”. The track is produced by Vinayak Jayaram. The video has been filmed by Kedar Amburle. The video also features rapper Dee MC along with Nikki Ambre and Rishika Shetty as the other characters in the video.
The rapper here talks about his instincts to society’s behavior towards him. In the song he tries to respond to the gestures done by the two faced society. With his antisocial penned down lyrics he tries to make a point that he is not scared of the society and its rules. and is someone who is not to be fucked with!

These songs were for Prabuddh, since Prabuddh is shelved now and i didn’t wanted to waste any of my lyrics so I decided to record them for Buddhiheen 2 . All of these songs are based on some portions of my life. Also, In the first song Behter, I asked Mumbai’s Dee MC to do the hook and she agreed, she sang marvelously. S/O Niyati for the voice clip.
