FFT, a new song over the instrumental of Drake’s popular song ‘0 – 100/The Catch Up,’ is the latest in the line of singles being shared by Mumbai rap artist Enkore in the build up to his album that’s scheduled to arrive soon.
After ‘Eternal Shine feat. Poetik Justis,’ which was released 2 weeks ago, we see Enkore being a lot more introspective, under a darker vibe, on this new release and the song has already received rave reviews from his fans and artists alike. Malaysian award winning artist Sona One said the new song was “Fire.” Eternal Shine and FFT are not going to be part of the upcoming album, which the MC said he might charge for.
The new album from Enkore has no release date, name or artwork yet but Enkore said “March is when it really heats up. Expect more announcements and details to come through the whole month. And of course, another single. Maybe two.”
Enkore and Poetik Justis’ new single ‘Eternal Shine’ is a song that for very long seemed like it would never be released, despite the clamour for a collaboration between the two Mumbai spitters, often considered among the best lyricists in India.
But, in the build up to a year that’s lining up to be pretty exciting for Indian hip hop – Eternal Shine gets to reach Enkore and Poetik’s fans’ ears. With Enkore talking about a new EP all over his Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, we get this new release.
A free download, this soulful cut produced by The 6th Element is definitely one for fans of boom bap, jazzy hip hop with lyrical intricacy! Enkore has “a couple of more joints” ready to be unleashed before the album is ready. These singles are sure to be free downloads but he “might charge for the album. I’m still figuring that out.”
